On Friday, June 27th, the LVT x Shopify Rebellion Qualifier saw four top HCS teams battle for the final two spots in the Halo Pro League. Complexity edged out Cloud9 in a 4-3 thriller to qualify, while Omit rebounded from a close semi-final loss to defeat both Unreal Nightmare and Cloud9, punching their ticket with a 4-2 win in the elimination finals.
OpTic Gaming opened the LVT x Shopify Rebellion Halo Pro League regular season with a dominant win over FaZe Clan. After dropping the first hill on Recharge, OpTic bounced back and swept the rest of the series—taking Slayer on Origin 50-44, winning 3-1 on Aquarius Bomb, and closing it out 2-0 on their best map/mode combo, Livefire Oddball. FaZe had a lot of trouble getting off their spawns. Optic kept them split constantly and applied continuous amounts of pressure throughout the entire 7 game series which only went to four games.
